If your teen has been asking you for money, it is time for them to get a job and learn the value of money.  It is ideal for teens to have a job and spend their own money. However, you find that teens tend to spend less when it is their own money.  In the process, they will learn work ethics. 

Above all, I believe that as a teenager, school should be the most important priority.  Yet, it is very important that they learn skills that will help them live in the real world. 

With the digital age, here are the best 31 online jobs for teens to make money.

Teens can make money online by taking surveys

The easiest way for teens to start making money, is through surveys.  Teens can start making money at 13 provided they have their parents’ permission.

Here is a list of the best survey sites that pay well.

1.Swagbucks

There are multiple ways to earn rewards on Swagbucks.  Earn money by taking surveys, watching videos, online searches, playing games, referrals and more.  You earn random points, referred to as SB (Swagbucks). Points can be redeemed for gift cards or PayPal cash.  Must be 13 and older to participate.

2. Inbox Dollars

InboxDollars gives you a $5 registration bonus.  You earn money for taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, making purchases online, surfing the web and much more.  The site is very easy to navigate.  Once you get to $30, you will be able to cash out.  Must be 18.

3. MyPoints

Members receive points for surveys, taking polls, shopping online, watching videos, playing games and much more.  The points are redeemed for gift cards, Paypal, travel miles and other prizes.  MyPoints offer a referral program for the opportunity to earn more points. 

4. Survey Junkie

What I like most about Survey Junkie is that you will know by the first two questions if you are eligible for that survey.  You will also know how long and how much you will receive for a survey.  Skip the survey if it does not pay well.  There are plenty to choose from, and they update the site regularly.

5. Vindale Research

This is one of the highest paying survey site; they pay up to $50 per survey. Your teen will earn money for each survey completed.  There are limited surveys with this company because of the high pay. At the time of this writing, there is a $1 signup bonus. Must be 18.

6. E-Poll Surveys

E-Poll Survey pays with points. The value of the points increase, the more you make.  Earn points that you can redeem for gift cards or PayPal cash.  You must be 13 to participate.

7. MakeSurveyMoney

Teens get paid to take surveys, playing games, shopping, and referrals.  .They recent changed the company name and age to 18.

8. TeenEyes

TeenEyes is an online survey panel of teens between 13 and 18.  TeensEyes surveys reward teens for telling the companies that make products and services for them and how they look through teen’ eyes.  You earn money by taking surveys, product testing, and participating in focus groups. 

You earn between 200-2,000 points for each task completed.  One point is equal to one cent.  Points can be cashed out once you reach 1,000 points ($10) for cash, paid with a check.

Harrispollonline.com is a web based online survey and rewards system where users get paid to conduct surveys. By participating in the surveys, you can influence important decision-making in corporations, government, and non –profit organizations.  This is one of the oldest survey sites in the world.

Upwork is a site where you list your skills, from SEO writing, creating a website, graphic design, to website management.  You begin by creating a profile and providing examples of work you have done.  I have seen earnings in upwards of $100,000.  There is opportunity to make money provided you offer quality service.  You need to be 14 years and older to sign up.

21. Zazzle

If you are a talented graphics designer, artist, or photographer, you can make money on Zazzle.  Zazzle is an online marketplace that connects customers with artists’.  Teens can sell their artwork to multiple clients.

22. Jingit

You can earn money with Jingit by watching advertisements online; or checking in and shopping for select products at your favorite stores; giving feedback to leading brands by taking surveys.  You have to be 13 and up to sign up.

23. Youtube

If you enjoy creating videos, this is perfect for you.  First, you will need to create great content that attracts people to your channel.   Second, sign up with AdSense to make money.  The money you make depends on the number of views your video gets.   

24. Toluna

Do you know you have the power to influence brands?  You have the power to influence some of the world’s largest brands by sharing your insights, and be rewarded. Review products, restaurants, mobile plan, and more.  You earn points that can be redeemed for sweepstakes or gifts cards to stores like Amazon.

25. Samespeak

Samespeak is a way to help people learn English by having conversations with them. You make calls through Skype from your computer or phone and talk about interesting topics based on natural conversational lessons. 

You will earn $10 for every half hour session that you complete.  Once you get a balance of $100 in your account, payments are made on Fridays.

There are small tasks that teens can perform to earn money.  Due to the fact that the pay is rather low, with some diligence, you can earn about $20 or more per month.

28.  Loop11

Loop11 is a website user testing tool that allows you to find usability issues of any website.  Your test and reviews help companies to improve their websites.  You will need internet connection, laptop, or mobile device.  The testing time frame and the amount paid varies. 

Must be 14 or older.

29. Shopkick

Shopkick is an app that lets you earn kicks or rewards for visiting a store, shopping and scanning barcodes in stores like Target, Marshalls, CVS and more.  Earn kicks in-store and online that you can use to purchase gift cards to stores like Amazon, Sephora, Walmart, Starbucks, and more. The minimum cash out is $2 (500 kicks).

30.  Uhaul

Unlike the other opportunities listed, U-Haul is one of the real online jobs for teens.  They offer work from home Customer Service Representative Jobs.  U-Haul is the only company that I know of that hires online workers at 16 years old.  You will need High speed internet to apply for this job. 

31. Qmee

Install the Qmee browser extension on your device and start earning money.  You get paid each time they show an advertisement.  Get paid when you take surveys, and share your opinions.  Payment is made immediately into PayPal regardless of the amount earned.  You must be 13 and older to join.

In looking at the jobs listed, it is apparent that you may not make much money from just one company.  Consider working with as many as you can to increase your income.    

Be suspicious of any online job that charges a fee to sign up.
